About Upward

Upward Sports are designed for young athletes to discover their passion for the sport and improve their game through healthy competition.  Our league strives to develop youth mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially.  Upward supports an equal opportunity / fairness theme where every athlete is the star of the season. We do our best to teach players the rules of the games, how to play and work together as a team, and how to have fun while learning about Jesus. 

WHO CAN PLAY?

All boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to play Flag Football.  We also have Cheerleading as an option for girls in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. 

How much does it cost? 

Early registration is $50 (between July 17th and July 31st) 
Regular registration is $60 (between August 1st and August 25th)

When does the season take place?

The Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading season begins on September 12th and ends on November 4th.  Practices take place on Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Games will take place on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m.  

Where does everything happen?

All practices and games take place at Calvary Baptist Palatka on South Palm Avenue.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SIGN UP?

Every child must attend one evaluation at Calvary Baptist Palatka.  
Tuesday, August 22nd between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
OR
Saturday, August 26th between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Please pray to God about this Flag Football and Cheerleading season.  Pray that families will get involved and draw closer to God through it all.  Pray for the leaders and volunteers that they will have the strength, energy, and discernment to lead and serve.  Pray for the boys and girls who will participate that they will stay safe, have fun, and learn about Jesus!
